Message-ID: <abobaDruG0D.81n@netcom.com> Summary: how to configure 2.1 for multicast routing and multicast? Keywords: multicast Organization: NETCOM On-line Communication Services (408 261-4700 guest) Date: Thu, 23 May 1996 05:45:49 GMT Lines: 11 Sender: aboba@netcom21.netcom.com I've got 2.1 release up, and am having some trouble getting multicast up. I recompiled the kernel with MROUTING; however, doing a netstat -g reveals no virtual interfaces; mrouted aborts, claiming it can't enable multicast on the chosen interface (ix0); other routines such as mtrace report similar problems. On some systems I've used, there is a separate variable for MULTICAST and MROUTING. Has anyone got this working on 2.1 RELEASE, and care to give example configuration info?
