Hello,

I have been using rn, a UNIX news reader utility for a while
(/usr/local/bin/rn).

When I run rn, I run it as:

    rn -T -q -N -e -m news_group_name

and when I press =, rn begins displaying subject lines and article #'s.
If I break out to read a particular article (by simply pressing the #),
I see and can read the article.

Then if I press = again, rn goes back to displaying just subject lines
beginning with the line *after* the most recent article read.

PROBLEM:
I am now using another release of rn on another UNIX host. Everything
*almost* works the same as my usual rn, except, now, after reading an
article, when I press = to go back to reading subject lines only,
rn begins displaying subject lines from the beginning! (ie it doesn't
know that I don't want it to display subject lines I've already displayed
with the = command).

QUESTION:
How do I call rn or use it so after reading a particular article, when
I press =, I will see subject lines beginning with the article *after* the
most recent article read? (and not have to hit the space bar in = mode
a zillion times to catch up to where I just was)

Thanks for any help/pointers on this.
