There are several previewer for dvi-files. On the X-window-system
the most popular is xdvi. To print a dvifile you can convert it
to postscript using e.g. dvips.

TeX newsgroup: comp.text.tex

Maybe it would be more useful, if you go to the local system
administrator. If you are that person, you could get a LaTeX-distribution
like teTeX (available for unix-systems) or emTeX (for DOS and OS2) from
a CTAN server (e.g. ftp.dante.de) and install it. With these distribution
comes everything: tex, latex, metafont, previewer, printer driver,
dvi->ps converter.
