Hello,

I have been quoted the following prices on Adaptec SCSI boards:
    1542A $135
    1542B $265

Which one "should" I get? It is my understanding that the 1542B
will work with vanilla 386bsd, and that the 1542A requires a special
patch.

Is it short sighted to get a 1542A now because of the savings? Right
away the only device I'll have on it is a Conner 200MB drive, but
in the future I may want other drives, CD-ROM, tape, etc.

Thanks so much!
