It does it very well.  Simply execute:

ifconfig de0 inet myvirtual.com alias
route add -host myvirtual.com 127.0.0.1

Obviously replace de0 and the host with your information.  I did notice one 
"funny" on 2.1.  I seem to have to issue the ifconfig twice to get it to take 
on any alias after the first.  Does anyone know whay that might be?  Other 
than that, it works great.
