I usually start xdm in rc.local (/usr/X11R6/bin/xdm) and then log in a myself, which usually starts twm. But now when I log in, I just get one window, and no console window. Also, the familiar reddish color I expect from twm is not there, and of course the mouse keys do not bring up menus, etc. So if I type 'twm &' in the open window, then the window borders take on the familiar colors, and the twm icon manager appears. Now the mouse buttons bring up the usual menus, etc. My .twmrc seems ok to me; my path includes /usr/X11R6/bin; twm is set to start from my .xinitrc, but it does not start. I wonder what I could be forgetting? -- Ken Gaugler Hybrid Networks, Inc. Cupertino Ca. 95014 (home email: keng@aimnet.com URL: users.aimnet.com/~keng) "The life of a Repo Man is always INTENSE..."
