Lines: 25 Message-ID: <4ohq0j$qj1@web.nmti.com> NNTP-Posting-Host: sonic.nmti.com I posted a query yesterday asking for help installing/booting FreeBSD 2.1 on a Win95 system. So far, I've got no responses. I've been through the FAQ and FreeBSD docs over and over. Please help me. Here's the info: 1GB IDE (master), single partition with Win95 (C:). 1.2GB IDE (slave), 200MB primary DOS partition (D:) containing FreeBSD dists. FreeBSD will be installed in remaining 1GB on 2nd drive. If I install using the disk geometry as reported by BIOS, the installation program says it can't find the root floppy on D:. If I install using the disk geometry as reported by PFDISK.EXE for C: and D:, the installation succeeds, but when I reboot, it says it can't find the operating system. If I install using the PFDISK.EXE geometry, but don't install the boot manager, the installation is successful and I can boot DOS or Win95, but not FreeBSD. What am I doing wrong?
