We just upgraded to BSDI 2.1 and I am now unable to ftp into our server.
As far as I can tell, everything looks cool, inetd.conf is correct, files
are where they should be, etc.

"config_anonftp" works fine, and anonymous ftp is functioning, but if I
come in as a known user I get an error after entering a password.

Has anyone else run into this?
