I had FreeBSD 2.1 installed on my machine before I just had a hard drive meltdown. My only problem was I installed it via FTP when I used to be in school at Central Michigan University. Before I get into the remainder of my question I figured I would give you a little background on the machine its going on. It is a Pentium 90 on an ASUS board and has an Adaptec 2940 SCSI controller card running a New Quantum 4.3 GIG SCSI II Fast Hard Drive. As well I have a SBPro 16 Sound Card with a Panasonic Douple Speed CD Rom. Here is the real meet of my question. As I said I have had FreeBSD on my machine, however with the meltdown and no current Access to FTP to get it that way, I need to get it some how. I am having withdrawls from working in *nix environment. I have the Wallnut Creek CD Rom FreeBSD 2.1 and am a subscriber to the CD. The problem I have is it doesn't recognize my CD and I have heard that the DOS Partition istallation doesn't work??? So Short of buying a SCSI CD Rom is there a way I can get FreeBSd Back? I have read a lot of the FAQ's on this and still could use some help. If I could use the DOS partition istallation that would be great. If that is possible is there anyone who could give me some simple direction as to how its done or a good source of DOCO on how to do it correctly. Any and all Help would be greatly appreciated.
