Has anyone else experienced this problem?

I just installed FreeBSD on my Altima (a.k.a. patriot 4000) notebook. I
used the following process:

Fdisked the drive into a 50 and 160 M partitions.
Installed DOS (6.0) on the 50 meg.
Installed FreeBSD on the 160 meg, + BootMGR.

Then I booted, chose dos, and it worked. Then I rebooted, chose FreeBSD,
then Rebooted again, chose dos, and got a Non-system disk or disk error
message. If I re-install dos, I can use it, but If I run FreeBSD, Dos
will die, and I will have to re-install dos. (I can get in via floppy, and
all the files are there.)

It seems that FreeBSD is somehow krunking up the DOS boot info. This has
never happened on any of my desktop machines.
