MCA, was and is a good technology, the licensing was screwy. Had they decided to license it reasonably, VLB and PCI might never have appeared. As to the 'hugh markups where no competition exists' - that's business, they owe no apology for that. Businesses that want to survive can't sell everything for the pathetic margins in the PC desktop business. The good ones are looking for the niche they can jack up the margins in.
