I think there is one little problem with my sendmail config. Mail gets sent out to other systems just fine. One server (homer) is both my DNS and mail server. If I have a named.hosts record " IN MX 5 homer.networkss.com" then sendmail (when receiving mail) gives the error: sendmail....: MX list for networkss.com. points back to homer.networkss.com If I remove the MX entry and have no MX, sendmail (receiving mail) says: sendmail....: networkss.com. config error: mail loops back to me (MX problem?) I am sending mail (from the Internet) to an account on this particular mail server, so I thought the mail is supposed to loop back to "me" ? Any ideas? It is a similar error using either the my native sendmail, or the BSD 8.7.5 sendmail. Thanks! +----------------------------------+ | Always on time... Always... | | John F.
