I have more info on my CDROM errors. Here's what happens with cdplay: (I've numbered each line to correspond with what is printed in the /var/log/messages file) localhost: {1} cdplay cd0 CD>play 1 2 cdplay: Invalid argument [1] CD>status status track minute second frame 21 01 0 0 4 CD>reset CD>play 1 2 cdplay: Input/output error [2] CD>play 1 2 cdplay: Invalid argument [3] Here's what appeared in the /var/log/messages file: (date and time removed for brevity) [1] /kernel: cd0(aha0:6:0): ILLEGAL REQUEST asc:26,0 Invalid field in parameter list [2] /kernel: cd0(aha0:6:0): UNIT ATTENTION asc:29,0 [2] /kernel: cd0(aha0:6:0): Power on, reset, or bus device reset occurred [3] /kernel: cd0(aha0:6:0): ILLEGAL REQUEST asc:26,0 Invalid field in parameter list xcdplayer gives me something like this when I try to play a track: ioctl(cdromplaymsftrk): Invalid argument and the /var/log/messages file produces: /kernel: cd0(aha0:6:0): ILLEGAL REQUEST asc:26,0 Invalid field in parameter list Anyone have any ideas as to what might be going on?
