An excellent page to read while trying to construct your own modeline is: http://hawks.ha.md.us/hardware/monitors.html You will need detailed information about your monitor, the capabilities of your graphics card, paper and pencil, and a calculator. After about 15 minutes of twiddling, a friend and I had figured out how to drive a 21" fixed frequency monitor with my video card. -- James
