Our FTP server is a Windows NT Server. We have our own internal network with some bogus addresses. the nt server address is 197.117.35.1. and my address is 197.117.35.6. NetMask 255.255.255.0. using win95 i can connect over my ne2000 ethernet card no problems (i/o 0x300, irq 5). but the install program will not find the server. we have no DNS by the way :-(. I also tried to use PPP using COM2 but I'm not sure how to go about connecting to our server this way. the server is configured with RAS which i use all the time to connect using TCP/IP from my laptop. it will allow a TCP/IP (PPP) connection. any heklp would be greatly appreciated!
