: Yes, see scsi(8).

I couldn't get this to work under 2.1.0-RELEASE - results as seen below:

Script started on Wed Jun 5 00:33:15 1996
prds-grn# cat /dev/rst0
cat: /dev/rst0: Device not configured
(FX: click as I switch tape drive on)
prds-grn# scsi -f /dev/rsd0c -p
0: SCIOCADDR: Inappropriate ioctl for device
1: SCIOCADDR: Inappropriate ioctl for device
2: SCIOCADDR: Inappropriate ioctl for device
3: SCIOCADDR: Inappropriate ioctl for device
4: SCIOCADDR: Inappropriate ioctl for device
5: SCIOCADDR: Inappropriate ioctl for device
6: SCIOCADDR: Inappropriate ioctl for device
7: SCIOCADDR: Inappropriate ioctl for device
prds-grn# cat /dev/rst0
cat: /dev/rst0: Device not configured
prds-grn# exit
Script done on Wed Jun 5 00:34:02 1996

Am I doing something stupid, or is it broken?
