I posted a similar question a while ago, but did not receive any reply. I still have had no access to my network (since it is not in function state right now). I therefore had no time to expiriment on this. My question was if I could use the NIS maps, and esp. the yppasswd map, I already use on my Sun workstations with FreeBSD. My guess is that that the encrypted passwords are incompatible, though I do not know this for sure. Can anybody help me out with this? Edwin Mons <edwinm@il.ft.hse.nl>
