Thanks. I tried this, but it doesn't seem to help. It has the same effect as -link0 link1 which is what I was doing. I did some more snooping and I note that input errors on nep0 are climbing steadily while it is connected to the net. If I disconnect, the error rate drops. The number of input packets remains zero at all times. I turned on debug with ifconfig, but no messages resulted.
