Hi folks,

I seem to be having a problem with the timestamp on mail that I send out from
my machine. The header from a mail sent from the machine is enclosed below:

----------------
	From venkat Mon Oct 26 09:11:13 1992
	Received: by acdt.csl.uiuc.edu (AA00140); Mon, 26 Oct 92 08:11:12 -0700

	To: venkat

	Status: RO
----------------

Why do the timestamps on line 1 and 3 not agree ?
The output of the date command is shown below:

----------------
Mon Oct 26 09:18:47 CST 1992
----------------

I think (pretty sure but not certain) that the problem began when I wanted to
change the CMOS time to reflect the DST change. I am not a Unix expert so it
is quite possible that I have not done all that I am supposed to do to change
the time ! Any help will be appreciated. Replies may be by email or Usenet.
Thank you.

Venkat

My machine specs: 386/25 with 4MB RAM, 125MB HD, WD8013EP Ethernet card,
Phoenix BIOS, running 386BSD ver 0.1.
