Chameleon does support minimal scripting, we have several users using it 
without the P infront of their userid.  They just add in the dialup options 
ie:
ogin: <userid> sword: <password> % ppp

and it works like a charm.  There has to be even limited scripting 
because login: and password: are not universal login prompts.

Again, there is no need for the P infront of the userid.  It just happens 
to be BSDi's way to differentiate, just like the S is for SLIP logins, 
but not necessary.
