Date: 11 Jun 1996 16:25:46 GMT Organization: Systems Group, Texas Instruments Lines: 13 Message-ID: <4pk6ma$8ga@mksrv1.dseg.ti.com> Reply-To: rnestor@metronet.com,rnestor@ti.com NNTP-Posting-Host: cna0188378-01.dseg.ti.com Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: Text/Plain; charset=US-ASCII X-Newsreader: WinVN 0.99.7 After downloading the /bin and /floppies from the SNAP0606 directory and transfering the "root.flp" to floppy I tried doing a clean install. The installation fails while trying to find the files "bin/bin.tgz" and "bin/bin.inf" in the "\freebsd\bin" DOS directory. Obviously, since these files aren't there - only the bin.aa through bin.cp files are present. Seems the installation procedure and/or script has changed, but the distribution file format(s) hasn't. Also the ATAPI.FLP file is not in SNAP0606 and the IDE CDROM support isn't in the latest ROOT.FLP file. Anyone got some simple solutions? Thanks, -bob
