I have a 3COM 3C590 PCI network card on my system. It is noted in release notes to FreeBSD 2.1-960606-SNAP that this card is supported by FreeBSD. The problem is that the kernel on the boot floppy does not contain the driver for this card (to be sure, I've checked drivers list using -c option on bootup). So, I believe that after installation there should be no problems with networking, but now I'm in big troubles - I can't install the system using network installation option. I can't install the system from MS-DOS FAT partition as well, because I don't have any - all my existing partitions are OS/2 HPFS! And I very much dislike to install the system from floppies. Does anybody know, is it possible to get somewhere the custom boot floppy with the kernel on it supporting my network card? Any suggestions? Thank you in advance.
