If you don't even get the boot: prompt, I would suspect that you tried to use the DOS COPY command to copy the boot.flp file to your floppy disk. Check the README.TXT file in the FREEBSD\FLOPPIES directory -- you need to use the rawrite.exe utility (in the FREEBSD\TOOLS directory). As explained in the README file, the *.flp files are all image backups, not DOS files. The installation docs have further details as well. Ken
