Lines: 32 With all the trouble people are having getting BSD and DOS to co-exist I thought a success story was in order :-) Process: 1)fresh MAXTOR LXT535 drive 2)no-name IDE controller 3)486/33, 5m RAM, AMI BIOS 4)drive type 47 (user defined) numbers entered EXACTLY as stated in MAXTOR manual (ie 1036x16x63) 5)install 120 meg DOS 5.0 partition 6)install dos extended partition 7)use Norton NU to edit cyl 0, side 0, sector 1 offset 466 from 05 to A5 8)boot tiny BSD and install - BSD recognised the existance of the BSD partition immediately and installation went just fine thereafter Not trivial but not rocket science either :-) Next step is to add a boot partition selector - any suggestions? -- Steven P.
