NCR 810 boards need BIOS support from the mainboard. But other NCR's (like the 815) have BIOS itself. I just bought an NCR 815, and it works like a charm with my non-ASUS mainboard. It replaced by Adaptec 1542CF, and my disks are now about 3 times as fast. An Adaptec 2940 would have been 3 times more expensive here. -- ______________________________________________________________________ Peter Mutsaers | Abcoude (Utrecht), | "Quod licet bovis, plm@xs4all.nl | the Netherlands | non licet Jovi."
