Face the facts. Don't lie to yourself. BSD is dead. > Show me a single major vendor which does not move or moved to System V. You asked for it: try wcarchive.cdrom.com (aka www.cdrom.com, aka many others). They do seem to be doing a rather major bit of work on the Internet, and they do indeed seem to like FreeBSD. They don't just distribute it, they *use* it to excellent advantage. Outfits that actually *sell* their versions of Unix will of course prefer their own, and outfits that *buy* Unix by definition aren't getting it for free. (Where did you think the "Free" part of the name came from, anyway????? As for being sensitive, I'm not. If you will stir your stumps to look over the rest of the postings in this NG, you'll find that I offered yet another possible suggestion as to what might be *your* problem with the boot floppy. However, if my conjecture is correct, it means that you are either too computer-illiterate to check a README file before taking any action, or else you're too stupid to recognize what it's for. Since you are so busily claiming that BSD is dead, it is unlikely, to say the least, that you are interested in contributing to this NG -- you just want to convince someone else that your unsubstantiated claims, or possibly wishful thinking, must be the absolute Truth, never to be questioned. Regardless of whichever explanation actually fits you, you do have a 1st Amendment right to speak your mind. I will simply exercise my equally precious right to not bother wasting my time with any more deliberate obstructionism from you. I will simply click the little green button of any post with your name on it. To the other readers of this _excellent_ NG, my apologies for such a long post. However, I firmly believe that every one, including Mr. aks, should be given at least some chance to wake up and smell the coffee, and maybe even learn some half-way good manners. Ken
