I have an S3 805 based card and XFree86 cannot run it at 16bpp. There are probably hundreds of different video cards (including various revisions) that fall under "S3 805" description, each of which has its own unique set of bugs and quirks. Without more details it would be next to impossible to provide a useful answer. This is sort of like calling an automotive repair shop and explaining that you are having difficulty with your four cylinder car. It is not inaccurate information, but a far cry from useful. There is simply no way for any technical support service to provide you with a solution if you cannot communicate the conditions of the problem. -john == jfieber@indiana.edu =========================================== == http://fallout.campusview.indiana.edu/~jfieber ================
