It is, but the "P" before the name isn't, and the two accounts are a kludge to allow that for those of us cantankerous enough to refuse to use terminal servers and try to get off cheap with Digiboards. <g> BTW, you're by no means required to do things that way in BSD. It's sort of a default, but only if you use "config_dialin" to create your PPP accounts. You could just as easily set things up so folks run PPP from their shell prompt. Or from a menu. Of course, it makes it a tiny bit harder to write scripts; but if you write the scripts and distribute them, that's no big deal. There are a couple of programs (I've only directly experienced one, but I've heard others exist) that can recognize a "login: Password:" sequence, but don't actually have scripting. With those programs, capital "P" is the only way to go. I was glad to find out BSDI had a tool to do the "P" easily; it was the way I'd intended to set things up anyway.
