What exactly do you mean by batch http?

Do you mean "download the contents of this site, so that I can look
through it on my machine, later"?

If so, then there was a package recently announced (past month) on
comp.os.linux.announce which used the lynx browser to do just such a
thing.

If you keep poking me about it (after this weekend), I'll install it on
area51 for you, Ric.
