Several days ago, in the heat of frustration after installing FreeBSD for
the first time on my system (2.1) and not being able to get my CD-ROM to
work, I rather hastily posted a few rather nasty remarks about FreeBSD.

I would like to sincerely apologize to anyone whom I may have offended.
Please understand that the intent of these remarks was not to insult or
injure anyone on the FreeBSD team, all of whom I have the greatest
admiration and respect for. I was just upset and blowing off steam. Stupid
of me. Not the sort of thing I normally do, and certainly not something I'm
proud of.

The real culprit behind the problems I was having was my own impatience. I
got the package from Walnut Creek and wanted it to work NOW! I should have
known better.

FreeBSD is a very fine piece of work and, now that I've straightened out my
problems with the CD-ROM, one that I'm enjoying immensely.

Please try to forgive my earlier rudeness. It's really quite embarrassing.

Sincerely,

Conrad Sabatier
