I _FINALLY_ got a disk partitioned and formatted and got NetBSD/sparc installed on it based on the instructions in the INSTALL readme file. I'm installing NetBSD onto a SPARCstation IPC with 12 meg memory and a 500 meg drive. When it boots I get the following : esp: select step 2: what now? (step 2, stat 87, intr 18) esp0: illegal command: 0x42 (state 3, phase 2, prevphase 2) probe(esp0:6:2): timed out (ecb 0xf8597c98 (flags 0x0, dleft 2c), state 3, state 257, msgpriq 0, msgout 0) Over and over and then finally it boots. What is this and how can I get rid of it? Thanks! -Steve ( steve@microdot.com )
