I edited the XF86Config file by hand. Then when I think everthings ready I type startx and get a "file not found message. I then cd to where the executables are at then try startx it then I get a message that says "xinit not found" but the file is in this directory. It seems like a path or permissions problem but I have set up default path in /etc/profile as instructed in the "Installing and Running FreeBSD" handbook and then rebooted. Anyone have any tips on how to get this baby running? BTW I was able to get Xwindows to run using the RED HAT Linux distribution. Thanx.
