Well, apsfilter supports PS and non PS printer, non PS capable printers will act like PS printers via gs. For people having a PS printer it still does the nice task, to print and autoconvert many popular filetypes. Look at this command line: lpr ascii.gz textext.dvi.Z photo.tiff cow.jpg.gz \ test.gif drawing.xfig Apsfilter doesn't use any tmp files, it even allows you to print compressed or gnu zipped files directly. I think it's for you still a good functionality ?! ;-) Andreas /// -- andreas@klemm.gtn.com /\/\___ Wiechers & Partner Datentechnik GmbH Andreas Klemm ___/\/\/ Support Unix -- andreas.klemm@wup.de pgp p-key http://www-swiss.ai.mit.edu/~bal/pks-toplev.html >>> powered by <<< ftp://sunsite.unc.edu/pub/Linux/system/Printing/aps-491.tgz >>> FreeBSD <<<
