That's complete bullshit. You even posted excerpts of mail from Jason for instance. You only seem to remember things exactly as you want/edit them to be. Doesn't really matter about reality huh? Ok, core has not contacted me to deal _with the issue at hand_. Certainly I am not one to speak for their project, but a lot of this could have been allieviated if they hadn't hidden in their little corner watching NetBSD members (yes, not core, BUT definately sub-core) toss shit at another camp. They knew this was coming, (right Christos?) >That's ClosedBSD for ya. You have yet since I've seen you removed from core provide *any* technical discussion/input on the mailing lists. No, you seem to think they are a place for advertising OpenBSD and flamage. As a matter of fact, when asked to provide technical details on something you claim, well ... you refused. I have provided some, actually. Go back, better check the archives. I will never release anymore to NetBSD group, however. Quite frankly, on a number of times they have even failed to give credit when I asked for it. I will _not_ provide security problem reports. Other people here have said that makes sense. The bugs are fixed in OpenBSD, and that is the best you are going to get. I will not, for instance, tell you about the bug which lets any person easily gain access to files and priviliges of another user on any SunOS, Solaris, NetBSD, BSDi, FreeBSD, or SGI machine which is running a fairly normal compliment of services. Why can't get people get the picture that it would serve NO end for me to release this information? Oh, it would make NetBSD more secure. And why would I want to make NetBSD more secure (At this moment, based on their actions, I'd rather actually see NetBSD burn in hell, but I guess that's pretty obvious). But I am not telling FreeBSD people either, see :-) You appear to be behind a firewall... maybe it's easy for you to suggest I should release these reports....? ha! Since you don't seem to want to follow the mailing lists charter why should your drivel be allowed on? Grow up sometime and join the real world Theo. People will only take so much of this crap from you before punting. You will notice that NetBSD has no place where people can criticize what they do wrong. No such place. All such discussions comes off as `Not in the charter'. Does this not worry you? If NetBSD can be run this way, surely you approve of other organizations doing so too, like your government? ``Oh no... that's DIFFERENT''. Anyways, as long as NetBSD has no forum for people to tell the NetBSD group to deal with their members harrasing and defaming other groups or people, this will have to the forum. I know a lot of people don't read news anymore, but well.. sorry. Needless to say, I beleive you've been punted. Oh give it up -- I was punted over a year ago. And 7 months of negotiations went nowhere to improve the situation because Charles didn't want me back in NetBSD. http://theos.com/~deraadt/coremail makes it quite clear that every other core member wanted me back in, tried to make it so, and that they all felt that Charles was the blockade. This "you cannot read our mail" thing isn't anything different; now they are just pissed off that OpenBSD exists and is doing a better job at being NetBSD. In fact, yesterday they silently censored a piece of mail from me that described in detail how the `anoncvs' system works, and how it could help NetBSD people. SUP sucks, guys, get a real source tree fetching mechanism... And of course I still receive the mailing lists. Just they don't know HOW I get them. And I now know that there is a reliable place to air things when they treat OpenBSD developers wrong. By the way, I can't remember your name. Just wondering; what fixes and additions in the tree and due to you?
