This either means that he has restored it to its former glory or that the hacked version wasn't very. Maybe some other people didn't draw Theo's conclusions. I thought he had a good point. I'm not saying he is/isn't a jerk - I don't know him. I do think he was treated unfairly, though it may have been unintentional, by the core group. From Theo's potentially biased archive, I think he was snowed as far as open discussion in this sort of forum goes. I'm glad to see his "followup" post in the group. Anyway, I think others who are interested will check Theo's archive and draw their own conclusions. It really isn't relevant to the OpenBSD/NetBSD comparison. It may be some of the reasons for the differences the two have, but not directly relevant to this group. -- Oly
