I was able to start an FTP Install of : Release 2.1 on my modem on Com 2 w/ no problems but I think that the second : ppp0 option in the setup of the SNAP distribution keeps looking for cuaa0. I don't understand what "the second ppp0 option" is. Can you try describing this differently ? ppp0 is an interface. cuaa0 is a device. It's up to you to connect the two, so there should be no concept of 'ppp0 using only cuaa0' : At least on my machine, when I switch to the ppp program and go into : term mode, I can't type anything to the modem in the SNAP dist. : I haven't ripped my machine apart to switch the IRQs etc to check if : cuaa0 works or not, but that might be my next step. : Has anyone else had this problem? Can you use your modem with cu, tip or kermit ? -- Brian <brian@awfulhak.demon.co.uk> Don't _EVER_ lose your sense of humour....
