It's relevant, just should have had it's own subject line.
He appeared for a couple of days, tried (quite successfully) to provoke
some flames, and disappeared up his own arse.

It's interresting that he could upset so many people - almost impressive.
I suspect my recent posted "suspicion" was correct - he was provoking
flames for a bet.

When I originally got on the net ('92 some time) I picked up on a
competition in the "demon.local" newsgroup.  It's embarassing - Demon
in the UK is about as widespread as AOL in the US, and about as smart.
Some genius posted an article inviting people to gather flames - see
who could provoke the biggest thread.  Threads of up to about 80 articles
resulted.  I watched, and was way too new to participate - just as well,
'cos it never occurred to me that it really would upset people.

Ignorance....
