It is someone else's copy. Where do I obtain a set of >USENIX books? The best source is probably USENIX itself. While some stores will stock them to meet demand, I think most would have to charge more than list price (because USENIX discounts only apply to large-volume orders, & the rent's gotta get paid). Personally, I point people at USENIX -- most customers would rather wait 3 weeks than pay an extra 25% markup for convenience. The last order form I saw gave this information (in September): 4.3BSD User's Manual Set (3 vols) $28.00 4.3BSD Programmer's Manual Set (3 vols) $28.00 4.3BSD System Manager's Manual (1 vol) $12.00 Prices are in US$ & include shipping via UPS for US & Canadian orders. Visa & MasterCard are accepted. The trick is that I believe your signature is required to authorize USENIX to reproduce the copyrighted manuals for you -- so you need a copy of the order form. (And, again, I don't stock them at the store here -- go direct, or west, or to). -- Barry Meikle University of Toronto Bookstore 1-416-978-7925 phone 214 College Street, Toronto, Ont.
