Subject: Can't access IDE CD-ROM from FreeBSD2.1

I have a P6 system that I installed FreeBSD 2.1 onto.
The FreeBSD CD-ROM from Walnut Creek CD-ROM was not
able to be used, even though the install.bat file
could see the CD-ROM - so I have been forced to do a
ftp network install, which worked. The problem is, I still
want to access my CD-ROM. I used the ATAPI.FLP disk
and still no luck on accessing the CD-ROM.

Can anyone tell me how to mount an IDE CD-ROM onto
a working FreeBSD 2.1 system? (There appears to be
no device for IDE CD-ROMS in FreeBSD). I already tried
mount_9660 and no luck. It appears that I am not the only one
with a lot of difficulty with CD-ROMS on FreeBSD...

Send me a cc: email in response to this message as I need
this information ASAP.

Thanks,

Charles
