Of course, since Jason can't keep from spewing vitriol, I'll point out that
that "though" is hardly accurate.

I know of at least one group that's doing some work on a PowerPC port of NetBSD,
although they're not speaking about it much as they're both _busy_ and
_realistic_ and have little time to spend cooperating with others, which is
unfortunate.

If you're serious about PowerPC NetBSD, and willing to do some work on your
own, I can put you in touch with some people who can likely give you as much
architectural help as anyone in the world.

It's also worth noting that the Japan Computer Corporation has a complete port
of 4.4BSD to the PowerPC PREP machines, which they give away in source form to
anyone who buys one of theirs.  Unfortunately so little of their corporate
structure is accessible from the US that it's extremely difficult to talk to
them about releasing it under Berkeley-style copyright; the people here are
friendly and helpful, but can't commit to anything at all.
