Not true! (Although the support for IDE CDROMs is not complete yet,
which may be what was meant).

Not necessarily. I usually make a small root FreeBSD partition (~20MB)
below the "magic barrier" and put the rest of FreeBSD on another
partition, which can go anywhere on the disk and be of any size.

It can't run them simultaneously, because they're different operating
systems. However, you can have them on the same system and use one of
them at a time, but you'll have to reboot every time you want to use
the other one. The FreeBSD installation program has the option to
install a boot manager, which will enable you to choose which one to
run each time the system boots.

No. Neither of them use a Mach kernel, and they can co-exist on one
system.
