I'm having all sorts of problems trying to get my TERM variable setup
correctly under BSD. My ISP runs under FreeBSD and in my shell account
I have my TERM set to vt100. Same setting at home on my Linux box and
everything works fine. When I try to connect from work (FreeBSD) tin
doubles the lines. A friend suggested I use screen and that solved my
problem with tin, but tintin gives me a staircase effect. I've tried
MANY different combantions of TERM variable on all 3 systems with and
without screen, but I still can find the right one. Can anyone please
offer me some advice, I'm at my wits end. Just so you know, I DID
read everything I could find about this before asking.
Thanks in advance.
