I have read the FAQ but did not see : any mention of it. While we are at it, how does one re-install : Boot-Manager ? At the Boot: prompt, type hd(0,a)/kernel This boots from the FreeBSD 'a' partition your BIOS's first (0th) hard drive, running the file "/kernel". I believe that the "booteasy" program is used to install the FreeBSD boot manager, however I have never installed this - except from the install floppy. I get the impression that there may be a DOS program on the installation CD to do this - dunno, I've just got my first FreeBSD CD (I've downloaded from the net so far). The OS-BS boot manager, however, is prettier than FreeBSD's boot manager. The pretty version uses more than the first block on the disk - which is fine as long as you've got DOS or the equivalent starting at sector 32 on your disk. -- Brian <brian@awfulhak.demon.co.uk> Don't _EVER_ lose your sense of humour....
