Is repartitioning neccesary? Date: 3 Jul 1996 19:31:54 GMT Organization: University of Wisconsin - Parkside Lines: 21 Message-ID: <4rehra$jt5@news.inc.net> NNTP-Posting-Host: 131.210.1.4 (Computer is a 486/66/16/1595 ufs, 508 fat, amd, noname built from parts.) I am preparing to migrate from netbsd to freebsd. I am anticipating having to take the following steps: * Backing up all my essentials * Installing freebsd binaries from a snapshot * Installing new X binaries * Recompiling the entire system * Recompiling all my sources * Restoring all my essentials (if neccesary) The question that i have, though, is whether freebsd and netbsd use the same file system. If it is possible, i would rather not have to reformat my harddrive, but if that is the correct solution, i am willing to do so. However, i do not wish to reformat if i can get away with not doing it. Thank you for any suggestions. Jeremy Nelson
