Sorry to throw cold water, but...

Unless every system you want to install FreeBSD has an identical sound 
card with identical setups, I think you're stuck. Most sound cards with 
an IDE port require that port to be turned on/enabled dynamically. I 
doubt very much that different cards will have identical procedures.

Using an IDE CDROM is easy enough -- boot with atapi.flp instead of 
boot.flp. But trying to include sound cards in the mix may not be 
worthwhile for installation purposes.
