This is true *if* your motherboard supports it.  My motherboard, for
instance, will support EDO RAM in one bank and non-EDO RAM in the
other.  However, if you have a motherboard that doesn't support EDO RAM
at all, then EDO won't work, period.

Talking about memory speed for a minute, I've mixed speeds before and
haven't had any trouble.  I suppose this probably assumes that you can
tell your BIOS or motherboard or whatever exactly what the speed of the
memory is, and just use the lowest installed speed, e.g. if you have
60ns and 70ns installed, tell the computer you're using 70's.
