I'm running 2.1 with all patches installed...

Last patches installed were kernel patches 16 (slip modem control)
and 17 (kernel panic under heavy load).
With patch 16 I changed the slip frontend from sliplogin to ppp.

Well, in the last couple of days I'm experiencing a strange system
behaviour:

After an uptime of some days dialin users can't telnet or read
their mail (pop) anymore. Uucp, if user over tcp/ip refuses to
give any login prompt (telnets failure I suppose).

The only error notice I found was in daemon.log and says:

Jul 6 11:00:04 luva telnetd[11526]: ttloop: peer died: Undefined error: 0
Jul 6 15:53:56 luva telnetd[20868]: ttloop: read: Operation timed out
Jul 8 06:31:46 luva telnetd[19659]: ttloop: peer died: Undefined error: 0

It seems that only dialin users are affected: telnet over network
connections seems to work...

Any hints?
