I recently added one line to my kernel source to allow for my NE2000
ethernet card. The line added was:

device ed0 at isa? port 0x280 net irq 10 iomem 0xd8000 vector

'make depend' worked well. The 'make' crunched for a long time, and near
the end it spit out the following messages. Here's the tail end ...

   loading kernel
if_ed.o: Undefined symbol `_ether_output' referenced from text segment
if_ed.o: Undefined symbol `_ether_sprintf' referenced from text segment
if_ed.o: Undefined symbol `_arp_ifinit' referenced from text segment
if_ed.o: Undefined symbol `_ether_addmulti' referenced from text segment
if_ed.o: Undefined symbol `_ether_delmulti' referenced from text segment
if_ed.o: Undefined symbol `_ether_input' referenced from text segment
   *** Error code 1

   Stop.
   myhost#

This was the only change I made to the code. I am adding a Compex
EN2000N-TP card. Any help is appreciated.
