FreeBSD's UFS == FreeBSD's FFS. FFS is the historical Berkeley name
(Berkeley Fast Filesystem), while USL adopted the FFS for SVR4, and
decided to call it UFS (UNIX File System).

Slowaris' UFS suffers from the incompatibilities that have been
introduced in order to support ACLs, and somebody on the mailing lists
reported that they are now incompatible enough so they cannot be
shared anymore, not even read/only.
