I have 3 old Seagate 43400's w/AHA-1542CF running on my news server, only
problem I had was when one of the drives fried the bearings (not 2.1R's
fault). Running now for 3 months, even AFTER I hosed the disk geometry
and had to fiddle with it with fdisk.
